Action on Energy is a new, Council led scheme to help provide energy efficiency improvements for residents across Cambridgeshire. The Council’s own brief description of the scheme is provided below. Follow the links for more details.

Action on Energy Cambridgeshire is a Council led scheme designed to help our residents save money on their energy bills and encourage the reduction of carbon emissions through energy efficiency improvements. It offers an easy five step route to the installation of money-saving energy efficiency measures.

Easy access to the scheme will be provided through our partnership with Climate Energy, the UK’s largest independent energy efficiency company, and delivered via its local network of accredited energy efficiency experts. Because Climate Energy is completely independent, its energy experts have access to the many options available, so are able to give you impartial advice on the sort of energy efficiency measures that will work best in your home.

Once the most appropriate energy efficiency measures have been identified and agreed, Climate Energy will arrange for installation via its local network of accredited energy efficiency experts.

Participating Councils in the Action on Energy scheme: Cambridge City Council, Cambridgeshire County Council, East Cambridgeshire District Council, Fenland District Council, Huntingdonshire District Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council.
