We were thrilled to have such a wonderful turnout for the Midsummer Tea up at the church on Sunday (22nd June) afternoon. With over 60 people able to make it and a gloriously sunny afternoon, it was great to see everyone catching up over a cuppa and some fabulously-naughty cake. Kids and adults alike were also able to work off a few of those cakey-calories playing cricket on the grass outside the church. Emily kindly took a some picture of the event, which can be seen in the gallery below.
We’d like to say a special thanks to everyone who made cakes and all those who helped make the afternoon run so smoothly.
This event is rapidly becoming a regular annual fixture in the Abington Pigotts calendar and is a chance for the church to say a collective “Thank you” to the village for its continuing support.
As we mentioned to anyone asking, the event is free to village residents but any donations received this year will be passed on to the Church Urban Fund in recognition of it being Poverty Sunday. Your generosity means that we will be sending £57.05 Thank you.
